The Byers Law firm welcomes attorney Bethany Willcutt to its practice.
Bethany was raised in Benton, Kentucky and graduated from Marshall
County High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from
Oklahoma Christian University in 2002 with a degree in Government and Legal
Studies. She graduated from The University of Memphis Law School in
2005. While at The University of Memphis, Bethany served on the editorial board of law review
and was an active participant in Mock Trial and Moot Court.
Upon finishing law school, Bethany moved to California, where she
passed the California bar and served as a deputy district attorney for 10 years
at the Tulare County District Attorney. While prosecuting, she served in
both juvenile and adult court. Bethany not only prosecuted general
felonies, but also served as a special prosecutor in the areas of child abuse,
gangs, driving under the influence, and child homicide. Bethany comes to
the firm with experience in over 30 jury trials and countless court proceedings.
Bethany is married to Ryan Willcutt, who will be working as a
sheriff’s deputy with McCracken County. They have two daughters, Paige
and Penny. She has moved back to Paducah to practice in the areas of
family law, insurance defense, and federal criminal defense.
